Against The Grain – primitive furniture and design

With every custom order, we prefer to meet with you and discuss the needs of your space. Most furniture takes 2-4 weeks to complete, and can take up to 6 weeks for certain furniture processes. We take a 50% deposit to get started and the remainder payed upon delivery. We do not directly take credit cards at this time. If you are interested in shipping within the U.S.A. we will have to separately estimate shipping costs in a quote.

In order to keep our prices reasonable we have standardized our Table sizes. We can still make any custom features if requested - like odd sizes, specific woods, special artistic flare, etc. - for at least an additional 30% charge. To maintain individuality within each piece, we choose not to give a discount for multiple orders, we apologize for this inconvenience. Finishes? Due to variations in old wood texture we can only approximate the finished look. Any changes to color, additional distressing, etc. may result in an extra charge of $30 per labor hour. Attributes to our wood characteristics, with all the knicks and dings included, are made from harsh years of aged rough-cut milling and de-con tempering. Please understand our craft takes in these factors as part of the real beauty that we will preserve in true nature.

We deliver within Portland for a minimum $50 charge, and double or more considering any outside location.
